Ontario Abandoned Places will be rebranded as Ominous Abandoned Places

October 2021 - my very first outing

Abandoned Industrial, Commercial in Kitchener, Ontario

Before this, I had been visiting underpasses (mostly train tracks) around my area to take a look at some of the art, but exploring Robson Lang was my first “real” urban exploration of an abandoned structure.

I didn't really get that many pictures of the second floor, which is probably actually the coolest part. The catwalks lead to several rooms and a hellishly dark stairwell in which I forgot I was the only one with a flashlight between my friend and I.

One of my main goals on my (by now third) visit to Robson Lang was to reach the roof, and on the third time I did! As you can see I took an egregious amount of photos up there, because I felt like the queen of the word.

There is a very, very small sprout in that giant lake of water. I thought it was kind of poetic. That's like us in space, or sometimes us on Earth too.

The stairs were quite rickety, but only with two people on them at the same time. Probably not a good idea in hindsight!

A really cool sun ray that my Android phone camera cannot do justice. Now only if my employer would bless me with a raise I could afford an expensive camera.

That's me! I'm that!

The tracks headed away from RL and the Schneiders plant from the roof

It was quite wet on the roof. I definitely will be returning to this building to take photos of the boiler room in the box pictured on the right there. It was very wet in there, and I got spooked by a ghostly rolling soda can so didn't think to stop and snap a photo.
