The impressively intact and solid remains of a former rail bridge built around the 1850s.

There are a few risks about this place. While this is seemingly in a public area and is not on private property, it is somewhat difficult to get to from the road. Use caution when going over as many of the rocks in the river that can be used as stepping stones are unstable. There are many different plants growing all over and around the bridge, which also brings along the many spiders and other insects present. If you are going up onto the bridge, look where you place your feet to climb. It is deceivingly slippery, and I did end sustaining a few cuts from it. This place is photographable from the road, so all of these risks can be avoided though.

Very picturesque with the plants especially.

Arguably the most interesting instance of nature taking back a structure that I have seen.

Is it holding it together, pulling it apart, or both?

This condition on this side seems slightly worse for whatever reason.

Maybe a retaining wall of some sort, as it is a few feet from the bridge.
