Wrigley Castle has a really interesting story behind it. It was built by the Wrigley family, who lived there before turning it into a fancy hotel. Lots of people love taking pictures of it because it looks so cool.
But, there's a sad side too. A big fire messed up a lot of the inside, but the walls are still up. Some other buildings around it are also cool to check out.
People around here love to tell stories about the castle. Some say a family used to live there, but something bad happened. Some versions say the dad went nuts and accidentally started a fire that killed his wife and kid. Others think he did it on purpose for money. It's hard to tell what's true and what's just made up.
But, even with the sad stuff, there are nice things about the castle. People say the fancy wood inside was really impressive.
Today, someone owns the property, but it's still a popular place for visitors who want to see its beauty and maybe learn a bit about its spooky past.

Very well preserved, Visit when the leaves are off the trees for a better view. The site has been respected very well by people and not vandalized.
I went here last week it was amazing the way they have maintained around it but preserved it
I knew when I added the words "A Must See" that eventually this site would become a gem for fellow explorers...Glad everyone is enjoying it as much as I did the 1st time I was there..
Thanks for the location, it was fantastic. Visited today but arrived late and caught the low light. Still a blast, will probably return...
Visited this location today, so beautiful. My friend and I couldnt get over it.
My family use to buy eggs and pies from the Wrigley's. They had a pond on the farm with fish that were released to the lake. The house was built of rocks from the lake or found on the property. They were very helpful when the neighbours had construction projects as they owned a front loader.
WOW this place is phenomenal! I love that stone work, completely amazing!. I have never seen a building that's built like that, that has this much structure left still standing. I would be awesome if someone can find some history behind this place. Spectacular find! and great photos guys!
Hey lets have a preservation party...lol...Actually as it stands now I am quite happy with it. I think Oro Medonte should maintain it and use it as a tourist draw with gardens and such..Too bad they let Cahiague (Huron city of 1615 AD) and its historic marker go down the drain..
Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeet....... when you guys were there, did it look like "someone" had tried to preserve it in it's "present" state?
Ahh please get the history of this place..This is one of the best photo opps I have seen on here yet..

I spoke with a lady here and she said there was another abandoned house with items left behind about a 30 minute walk down the trail... I can't find it on Google earth though. Anyone know about it??
