I think this is a fire victim. If anyone knows the story it'd be super sweet! I can't seem to find anything.

The original house (don't know how old) appears to be the part still standing..I think? Lol. In 1950 either this house or an older house was here, but by 1970 it had grown into the giant footprint you can see now. Around 2010 most of the house was burned or demolished - I'm not sure which - but the property has essentially remained in status quo since then. The section still standing appears to have been left mid-reno. It's certainly not being worked on when I went back for a visit a couple months ago.

It seems like the pool and tennis court was probably used more recently as was the garage/pool house , and the property itself still appears to be somewhat taken care of. The grass seems to get cut a few times a year.

There's a gate that's been open one time and closed the next, and youre in decent shot of the neighbours when your anywhere near the pool house.

Not very exciting and frankly I don't know if "abandoned" is the proper word for it. But there's some half decent photo ops I spose and really im just hoping someone's got the story here. Its been bugging me forever.

UPDATE (kat666g) I've lived right across this place for years and never noticed it. Through some searching, I found a link (and have attached it below) stating that the house is, in fact, vacant. I have found another link about the people who lived in the house (the second link), surrounding a child pornography scandal in 1993. The father (the owner of a now dissolved business named Casuele Inc.) of the family had passed away at 45 of a heart attack and the wife was an immigrant from Poland. They also had a few children, and the son (Peter Jedlovsky) was arrested and sentenced to a maximum of 10 years in prison for child pornography. If I read correctly, he used to store some of these files in the back shed on the property (the one which now appears to be burnt). A small trip from my house across the street brought me to this property, where I was greeted with a gorgeous outdoor Raptors basketball court, a pool, an old burnt barn-like structure, a new pool house/house and a private walkway down to the beautiful Pomona Mills river.

Today at about 4pm a yard work service was on the property and had opened the fence.

Great find on the document. Seems to confirm the part still standing was built mid 1900's.
