After 59 years, Bowlerama Stoney Creek will close its lanes forever on May 13, 2017. Known in its early years as Lucky Strike, the bowling alley has hosted countless tournaments, fundraisers, birthday parties and first dates.
When the alley first opened back in 1958, automatic pin setting was just starting to catch on. And computerized scoring was still decades away.
Bowlerama is believed to be the only east Hamilton alley offering both five- and 10-pin bowling, with 12 lanes for each format.
