Farm House ~ Barn ~ outbuildings.
Great abandoned Farm House.
Skye-Ann visited the location & wrote this comment:
"This farmhouse was built in the 1830's. The current owner Daryl has lived in Vansicle all his life. His grandmother came to Canada in 1817 with her husband. Daryl and his father both went to a school just down the street. The barn in the back of the property has been there since 1820. Daryl does raise cattle on the land and doesn't mind if people take photos. But is very protective of everything across the fence. Please do be respectful of this private property." :)

There is an electric fence around the property, just far enough away from the wood fence to make getting over both hard. Of course lots of cows to come over and welcome you.
I certainly could have made the attempt but I chose to respect the owner. Had I seen him I would have asked. I will return.
I have a hard time believing that Daryl's grandmother/father that came to Canada in 1820. This would be more like a great great grandfather...
The farm property around the house is still being used for cattle & several bulls!! Stayed outside the fenceline. Didn't know who/what I'd run into up this road. It would only the 2 of us!!
Beautiful pics. Must have been quite a building in its day. Thanks for sharing this one!
