History
Vaughn’s Hilton Garden Inn was built in 2006, and a mere 20 years later it’s being demolished. Talk about a waste. The Hilton Garden Inn closed in early August, and not even 2 weeks later demolition started. By the time I explored the site (about 3 weeks after closure), they had already torn up parts of the first floor and gutted several interior rooms.
The Hilton Garden Inn was owned by the Gupta Group and was managed under the Easton Group of Hotels. In 2016, Gupta Group proposed to build two residential towers that were 44 and 47 stories respectively.
In 2021, the hotel was acquired by Graywood Developments. Many adjustments and alterations were made in the last couple years, with the new vision for the property being much different than the original. A request to add an additional tower was approved, with the three buildings now being 46, 54, and 55 floors.
