Just north of Raglan if one heads eastward on Coates Rd past Purple Woods you will come to the gun club. The road becomes quite bad from here onward; but in the winter, when there is no snow, it is quite fun to travel on as you "glide and slide" over the ice. Keep heading east and you will find this old farmstead.

Using my powers of deduction I am quite sure this was the "Glyde" farm at lot 23. If not, then it was either the Mowbray (Lot 24) or Prescott (Lot 22) farm according to the 1878 Belden Map photo below..

Oh my lord I've been down that road! Ending up at the gun club didn't help with my anxiety much! Didn't see the house though .. must have been the leaf factor ... :)
