Swiss Chalet Park used to be call Greenwood Park. It was a very popular picnic area used for group and company outings back in the early 60's. It had 2 large swimming pools and a small wading pool which were always full to capacity on hot summer days. Two change room structures. There were at least two wood covered structures with long picnic tables under and other picnic tables scattered about the grounds. The entrance road turned left and led down to the stream and on the way separated two fields. Left was swings and the circle seat ride in the pictures and to the right was an open area for company / group races, soccer, baseball etc. Name changed to Swiss Chalet late 60's

Drove by on the way to work this morning and they are tearing the buildings down.

Is this on the north side of Hwy 7 west of Westney Rd? I seem to recall some sort of park there and I could be wrong but I'm thinking it was called Swiss Chalet Park. (no affiliation with the restaurants as far as I know)
