Very recently boarded up farmhouse, just west of the Middletown Cemetery. Havent had a chance to get close yet. Driveway is chained and No Trespassing signs is at the entrance. Very busy road, with loads of construction traffic in the area. I just passed it earlier in the week and noticed the fresh plywood over the windows, grabbed a couple of quick pics...for now.
Very nice looking place from what I can see from the road. Not sure if there is a POE, it has only been boarded up for a short time.
According to the Canadian County Atlas, this land was owned by the Stoddart family.

I have driven by this place many times. It was only as I was cycling that I saw it. It's easy to miss because it's set back from the road a little and there are many trees in front. The house number sign is also bent, but it is 3369 Hwy 88. It is between Hwy 400 and the Middleton Pioneer Cemetery on the north side of the road.
This is a two story brick house with basement. There are also foundations of barns behind it.
This must have been a posh place in its day. The hardwood floor in the front room is delightful. There are also two separate stairs to the second floor. The back was obviously for servants. There are also the remains of a dumb waiter.

The crap on the two landings is getting deeper. I was with my wife and parents and was not dressed for this find so did not go upstairs through the dung heaps. More importantly, I was driving my wife's car. So sad to see a house like this become abandoned. It's funny, I drive by great looking old houses and can't wait til someone abandons them, and when I see it actually happen, I feel sad!
My dyslexia is surfacing again. the house number is actually 3396. Sorry for any confusion
The chain is gone from the driveway, interior is still accessible. Found it today thinking I had a new entry, but I was solo, so I was too chicken to get interior pics. Everything taken by timo, OAP, Darkman & Unleashed is amazing.
P.S. The driveway is not the greatest if you happened to be driving standard, learned the hard way.
This place was totally unexpected for me, had to check and see if it was on here already, was a pleasant surprise and nice explore. Outbuilding is gone, and there are new foundations laid beside the house.
Added some interior pics, finally got inside, but not before the scrappers had their way. Most of the beautiful wood trim has been removed, and the railing is gone. Pretty rough shape, but still solid.

I drove by here today and it appears to be gone. No roof visible behind the trees and a lot of light coming through those trees.
