The demolished status in incorrect, visited it yesterday and it’s still standing (barely). Lots of cool relics around but the structure is seriously deteriorating, holes through the floor and imminent collapse throughout lots of it, if you wanna see this location visit it soon.
Probably bees alright, a lot of bees. They would make like a transformer sound, you were close.
Stopped here today. I must say that the house has seen better days. The front of the building is starting to cave in. Also, when I went to take 2 steps in the house, I could hear a ton of buzzing...so I stepped out and attempted to run past it but encountered more buzzing...I didn't know if it was flies or bees but it was eerie and didn't want to risk it. Will upload pics soon.
I must admit, the livestock in the back threw me for a loop. I gathered my courage and dove in head first.
@rnagle.....thx!! I wish I had been able to get inside, your set is awesome!!
Nice series mike6639, always like seeing another photographer's "take" on a site. Both this and the wood house a little further south are on land that is still actively farmed.
nice little cluster up there, mike...now that lavendar house location has been revealed...so pissed i missed it by a km or so. but i got to hang with a huge snapping turtle, so all good.
@Phrenzee....the co-ords you asked about are also an abandoned house. Check location "Wood house on Mulmur Line 4".
@Doom...you probably did see livestock in or near the driveway!! When I was there, there was a bunch of cattle just a few meters from the house. Someone is still using the land.
drove right past and was pissed because i thought i saw livestock and new tracks in the driveway. so missed out on the lavendar house and this one all in one day!
phrenzee, go just a few meters north of that, same side, and that's the place i believe. I recall there was a home nearly across the road from it, and you can see the metal roof.
I liked this rickety old house and thanks for the "walk through". Gives a better idea of how the house is set up.
Didn't see a green #, I wonder how long house has been abandoned. At one time I think it would have been one of the more "upper crust" homes in the area, view from second floor porch out over the valley would have been amazing.
