A Provincial Park campground which was closed sometime during the early/mid 90's although interestingly the official Ontario Parks website says that visitors are still welcome to explore the trails, so it is actually still 'open'. This is a great place to spend sometime at if you want to walk the trails or check out the old buildings, or both. I'd even drive all the way out here for a swim on a hot summer day since there is a nice river and waterfalls on the park property.

As far as remains go, there is the main office, parking lot, gates, a few foundations, roads that are still partially paved, an outhouse, a large two room bathroom, swimming area with a picnic table still standing, several wooden walkways along the river, covered picnic shelter, and some fallen over shack. You can still make out some of the old camp site areas to.

It's funny, because I remember coming here as a kid for a family church event in the early 90's and the place was packed and full of excitement. This is my first time back since then and it's weird to see what it looks like now, especially after looking at some old pics of what the place looked like before.

The main office is now torn down and there's a fence blocking access to the parking lot

The pictures of the washrooms and the picnic shelter seem to bring back memories. I think I was there in the mid 90s, perhaps just before it closed because I seem to remember there being a decent amount of people there. One of my few childhood memories.

There's nothing there whatsoever to indicate that overnight camping is off limits, so why the heck not I say!
