A row of houses that have been abandoned for many years. From what I've read they are owned by the same people who own the factory beside them that is currently being demolished. All houses are well boarded up likely due to the amount of crack heads in the downtown area.

From member Steele:

There is a row of several houses (6 in total I believe) that have been abandoned for as long as I can remember. When I was younger I explored around them with my friends but we never really gained access to any of the houses. As far as I know they are wartime houses though this is only hearsay. There is some wiring that looks very old with cracked rubber insulation and other evidence that these homes are very old which backs up the claims that these homes were built quite some time ago.

Upon entering the one house I did manage to get into (I apologize for not knowing the specific address as it was late and I went with friends and didn't want to linger too long to avoid drawing attention to ourselves) I was immediately hit with the smell of mold and then I noticed that the walls and ceilings were almost more mold than structure. There was about an inch of water on the floor and i stayed only long enough to snap some pictures. If I return I will be sure to bring a mask or respirator. The amount of mold is unbelievable. Theres not a whole lot to see in this house as I imagine whatever was left when the occupants vacated would have been pilfered long ago by one of the many people who have visited the place

I also visited one of the sheds which is located behind a separate house adjacent to the one I was able to enter. This shed used to be completely empty when I was a teenager. One of my friends actually lived in it for a few days once when he got kicked out of his house. He stopped living there when we went back and discovered that the clothes he left there had all been folded and neatly tucked away by someone else. Very creepy since we thought we were the only people that frequented that shed. Now the shed is filled with brush cut down from the surrounding area. I suppose this purpose is twofold as it prevents people from being able to use the shed while providing a place to store bush trimmings and felled trees.

I apologize for the quality of the photos, I believe they are acceptable however it has come to light that the camera on my phone is awful for this sort of thing.
