I had gone and done some light to medium bushwacking (with a large knife) to access a place I thought would be neat and shot a location added to the site previously. I removed possibly about 20 ticks climbing up me on the excursion. On the bus, I had to take out a smaller knife to crush and kill 4 more I found. Once home I came across 3 more and 1 still after I showered. I checked my bag but I must have had one in it. Nothing there this morning but this afternoon I found a tick that had bit.
Do your research and learn how to identify those parasitic fuckers. It's my first bite but it came out nicely and exploded better. This will only get worse in the future as the conditions become better and better over time for ticks. Out of all the ticks, maybe 2 were deer ticks, but a dog tick bit me. Preferable.
You have been warned (if you didn't know how bad they can be).

They can for sure depending the kind of infected. American dog ticks seemed to be the kind I ran into mass amounts of and they generally don't carry disease. Tbh, I might not have ran into many last year cause I used large amounts of bug spray on my clothes. Think I will again and see if it's better. I truly have done much worse for longer lol. Stay safe.
A lot of people also put double sided tape around their ankle up their leg a bit to catch the little bastards ! You can also get spray that is specific for ticks , or make some you just have to use proper measurements, you can make it for animals too!

yah i was going to an abandoned house. the grass was super tall, thought if i bike through it fast enough it wouldnt go on me (wrong) i ran out and went to another one and the grass was only 5 inches tall and got 6 ticks on my shoes these guys can give you lyme disease. this is why natural tall grass and bush fencing is better than metal fences.
