Maybe you should write a journal of all your explorations and maybe turn them into a story once you run out of pages
I had just done a difficult entry into a industrial building downtown, one known for it's security. This was in broad daylight, on a monday afternoon, so laying low in the dark much of an option. I was inside the building, waiting for my friend to climb in with me. I hear his foot slam into the metal gate as he's climbing up, before both feet hit the ground. All I hear was "She saw me." as my friend ran away. I stand motionless, thinking that someone was going to come check the building before hearing a noisy golf cart drive past in the same direction as my friend. I then hear footprints inside the building, on the same floor as me. Two people in hardhats are walking across the opening. I hit the floor, then curl up in a ball under a metal support in the corner. At this point I am as small as possible in the corner of this building, wondering where the fuck my friend is, if he's caught, if the people in the building are looking for me. My phone rings from my friend, and I could've sworn it echoed off of every surface in 650 thousand cubic metres of this building. I pick up and I hear my friend panting, before he told me. "Get the fuck out." I got up, swung my backpack over my shoulder, and used every muscle in my body to haul myself up and out of the building. The obstacle I was climbing over was a flat metal gate about 12 feet tall. I jump off from the top of it, and I'm running before I hit the ground. I throw my self up and over the first set of fencing, damaging the camera in my backpack in the process. I'm sprinting as fast as I can to the second fence, trying to call my friend in the process. There's yelling behind me, but I don't stop running until I can't hear it anymore. I ended up finding my friend hiding underneath a boat trailer at the nearby marina. An hour later we hitched a ride from a dumptruck driver that was just turning out of the building we had escaped from- totally off topic but he ranted about his divorce and how lazy his kid was, but he gave us a ride to the subway stop.
Either that or the time I was almost killed by a bridge we thought was abandoned. It was quite literally only 2 hours before this whole story- location 19341
Shit man this kinda reminds me of what I experienced today but multiplied by like x30💀 you end up getting a new camera in guessing right?
A new lens, the T5i Rebel body is indestructable
a year ago I went into the Simpson Humphries House with 2 of my friends. i had no clue there was an alarm in there. we tip toed so slowly like a turtle. the alarm was a motion detector. we were trying to sneak past it and go upstairs. one of us triggered the alarm. we ran so fast out the back door. i just jumped over the 1.5m balcony with 0 care. the house was fenced so we had to jump it too. we were biking down to the other house we thought we should just hide in it cuz there was no alarm. we came out of the house 20 min later we left and biked down. there was a mazda 3 rolling in with orange flashing lights. we all just mad a 90 degree turn right into the gras the second we saw it. it passed us like the guy wasn't even looking. we waited for it to stop at the house and then we left. Another was me and my friend went into the house again because someone took off the alarm. we went upstairs first. the house was/is completely empty. there were 5 rooms, 4 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. the only lit up place was the bathroom. it was so dark inside. we went downstairs to one of the rooms and there was a pillow shoved in the chimney. we went to the other room next to it and it was also lit up. we went into the kitchen and heard a loud bang from upstairs. i fucking swear there was no wind gust in there that was some spirit of john simpson or some shit. anyway we went out asap and were confronted by some guy who said he would call the cps if we didnt leave. so we left.
that first story sounds insane bro damn
I mostly do abandoned urbex, but I've also done a bit of freight hopping over the years, I still kinda consider it urbex though. One time my friend and I tried to catch a train from Thorold to Welland. I grabbed a bar at the back of the train but I couldn't pull myself up. The train dragged me approximately 50 meters like a rag doll (almost killing me) until I was able to let go. Once I let go I belly flopped on the tracks and rolled into the ditch. One of the scariest experiences of my life, but it still didn't stop me from freight hopping in the future. All the times I've been caught by security at abandoned places has never compared to being pulled behind a fast metal monstrosity. It's been 3 years and my right hand is still messed up from that incident.
that sounds scary asf I would prob pass out from being in a stressful situation like that ngl
How are you still alive is my question
Wow that is beyond scary!!
I would just die
one time i entered a lv 4 bando during the winter (there were some footprints around) and was taking a few photos of the interior and i swear i heard somebody walking and messing with the doorknob. it was a very humanlike noise. i was convinced im fucked and was ready to walk out with my hands up so i dont seem like a threat 💀 but when the noises stopped i just dashed out the door and ran straight back to my car.
didnt get no adrenaline though i was frightened lmao. this is a pretty soft incident though
This reminds me of when I was checking in on a lvl4 mansion- I just found out that there was a way into it so i skipped class and went to check it out. I was vibing to some music on the bus and missed the stop thats right outside the house, so I got off at the next one around the corner. As I am walking up the street, a fancy ass porsche pulls into the driveway of this capsule of a house and the developer (which i found out by an instagram post that he made with his car+plate in it) went up to the door, went inside for maybe 30 seconds to get mail, and came back out. Meanwhile I stood at the bus stop watching him, pretending to wait for the bus I just got off. It was a reality check for me- because if I hadn't missed my bus stop, I would've been inside the house when the mf went inside. Idk what I did for that good karma- but I was thankful for it
god damn, you did miss a bullet lmao. either he would have seen you or you would have been absolutely shitting your pants hiding in a corner
Yeah I did a piece of real estate and there was a bit of furniture in a room beside the garage. About to go to the basement and from 15-20 feet away with a wall between I heard the door open and a person walk in. for some reason I had waited till I heard the keys set on the kitchen table and THEN I ran away. Idk how I missed the people. They started loading furniture and then a van came too and their kids were then biking and playing in the driveway. Only thing to do was shoot photos with a zoom lens from across the road cause I couldn't believe it. Hahahaha. About a year ago now.
I've been chased off an industrial site by someone. I was there with my girlfriend and my cousin, and we were checking out the site, when we got on a elevated platform, we realized there were flashes coming from the road (our way out, i had hiked a bit so my car was past that), so i decided that we should get out via the train tracks that led to the exit. Basically picture a giant square with a massive hill in the middle, we're on one corner and the opposite corner is where we have to go, left is the road, right is the train track. We take the train track. We see another flash coming from the top of the hill, so we're getting real panicked, we have no lights on and we're trying to be as silent as can be. I realized that there's another set of footsteps coming right at us from the hill, we all stop moving, and the footsteps keep going for a few seconds, and then stop. We start and stop another 2 times to make sure, and we realise we're defenitely being followed. They get real close so we're basically laying down on the tracks freaking out trying to figure out our next move. My cousin gets up and the footsteps cross the track and go off into the forest, we never saw anyone the entire time we were being followed, so it was freaky being chased by someone but not being able to see them. Finally we just start sprinting and get to the car and send it.

Always a rush to introduce myself to property owners working on a adjacent building on thier land, and then almost immediatly after the chat, raiding the place that is next door to the place they work on. Gotten a few tickets, been taken down by the cops twice, talked to neighbors that tell me places are "condemned for reasons" while standing on rooftops. Awkward place to have a conversation. One day, I think Ill write a book about my experiences, good and bad.
