So ya, what's in your gear bag, or stuff that you always take with you? I try to keep my bag sort of set up for different areas. An example would be Bear Spray, if the location is remote and includes a hike, I'll bring the spray and leave the tripod behind. If the location is more urban then the spray stays home and the tripod comes out.
Just looking for ideas and if I 'am missing something important
Cheers

What are you using for a Drone? I 'am thinking of getting one but uncertain if the investment would be worth it
DJI Mini 2. Spent 250$ on it a few months ago and it can get you a really unique perspective of places, plus it's fun to fly.
Depends on the location but I would say gloves, a mask, and a flashlight are absolute necessities
Done, actually I think I might have to many flashlights
You can never have too many flashlights
I carry the same bag all the time. Tripod, flash, remote trigger, full face respirator, 2-3 flashlights and a headlamp. Extra batteries for flashlights and flash. Two pairs of different thickness gloves. Mosquito\tick spray. 18-55mms (kit lens), 50mm, and sometimes a 75-300mm telescopic. started to carry a go-pro again but always forget to use it. 10-20mm is always on my camera. Zigzag papers and the rest needed to roll joints.....essential😂 I take a bit different to drains but it's been well over a year for those.
This sounds more like the contents of my bag, with some lens changes, a 35mm instead of 50mm and a 55-200mm instead of the 75-300mm, same with the 10-20mm. My tolerance is so low any weed and I' am never going to make it back outside
Can never go wrong with a first aid kit
Wouldn't be a bad idea. I've got a few courses at least😅🤷♂️
bug spray, a headlamp, my photography stuff (tripod, camera, and lens), Band-Aids, and Uno (just in case ofc)
oh and my mask and gloves
I bring gloves (mechanix), lots of places are really dirty, i bring my dslr (nikon d3300), with 2 lenses, 18-55mm and 55-200mm, with extra batteries, cards and a small tripod. Flashlight, rope (it's come in useful for getting down into tricky spots), walkie talkies if i'm not travelling alone, swiss army knife. A more recent addition to my gear is a drone (mavic mini 2). I've seen other comments about masks so i'll start bringing one, it's a good idea.

Bear Spray is very smart. I honestly don't think & just go - camera in hand. Obviously watch my surroundings but I almost never "pack" anything ahead of time - but I'm rethinking that now LOL
Very smart so long you know you know you wont mace yourself like i did :) be very gentle with the safety clip and shoot downwind not upwind.
Camera (my phone), mask (a few surgical ones). That's it. Maybe should start bringing gloves and flashlight and get a proper respirator.

I think the most crucial things to have in your bag are these two things: Mask (to protect against cameras and mold), Flashlight (obvious) You can live without everything else, but those two are necessities. Of course I always overpack so heres everything in my backpack: Headlamp, Tripod, Drone+Controller, Film Camera, Extra Batteries (drone, dslr), 1-2 Rolls of Film, Cut Proof Gardening Gloves, a Snack, DSLR + lens. Sometimes I leave the drone and film camera at home, but rarely. I love having different mediums to produce unique content- and I'm always in an urban area. Originally I started with a digi-cam and a COVID mask, I've just upgraded things as I saw fit.
