Looking for a place to Picnic in the summer!

My friend of 6 years is finally coming to toronto (horray!) - Are the any locations anyone would suggest in or around the toronto area to hold a picnic? It will be very small, max three people in total, and we know to keep our load light, but we're not sure what location would do the idea justice. Any suggestions or tips?
