The Kormann House Hotel was built in 1897 on the corner of Queen and Sherbourne, very likely in the good old better days that this neighborhood has seen. It has been included in the Toronto Heritage Property Inventory due to being a good example of a 19th century corner hotel done in the Renaissance Revival style. Although a proposal has been made to turn it into a condo, the project seems to have been scrapped and hopefully the building will remain for a while.
So far I've been unable to get inside this place, but will continue trying!

Likely not, it still looks to be covered up.
