Found this old single-lane bridge while hiking on the Humber Valley Heritage Trail (HVHT). This is along the road allowance of Kirby Road, but I'm not sure if the road ever went all the way through. Judging by the bridge I would say that at one time it did, a very long time ago. Now its a scenic diversion along the trail, and a great view of the Humber River. The concrete is failing in many spots on the bridge, but it is reinforced with steel rods for extra support, so definitely a sturdily built bridge, made to last.

Did you come across the big blue truck that sits abandoned on that trail?

Wow, nice find Tim, ya Kirby looks to have gone through[ Kirby on both sides as well] and you can see that there may have been two other bridges[ I think] there that are now gone. After this bridge, to the south, the tree line goes straight .....to the road on the other side,[ over the river two more times], while the trail goes up. What do you think?
