This pioneer cemetery was started in 1867 but the earliest burials were June, 1842, children of the Harrisons, in the Craig Cairn. It was closed sometime in the 1930's. This area would be unrecognizable outside the cemetery fence. Inside though is as it was with a family Cairn fenced in area. John Hunt sold the land to the Methodist church that was also here and closed in 1925 and demolished in 1946. This area was the Hamlet of Hanlon. Another total find by my co-pilot. We lived in this area for a while, years ago and never seen this cemetery. There is a Pearson plot here as well.
