Demolished House in Whitby, Ontario, Canada

Location # 1627

This was once the farm house of Mathew Crawford. Mathew, his wife Eliza and their daughter Eliza emigrated here from England and settled on concession 4 lot 25 in Whitby township.

Located in the centre of what is now a commercial zone, the Crawford home backs on to the Canadian Tire parking lot. Boarded up, it looks like it is waiting to be picked up and moved somewhere.

Steveg, you're right, it is known as "Crawforth House", however on the Beers map the property is listed as belonging to Matthew Crawford. :)
