Two abandoned houses found on Islington in between Rutherford and Major Mackenzie. My friends and I were biking to Kleinberg when we saw these two abandoned house. I wanted to keep biking but one of my friends stayed and explored a bit because he likes exploring abandoned places even though we were on our way to Kleinburg.
The house were completely surrounded by grass and there's garbage anywhere. For one of the houses the I think its supposed to be boarded up but someone(not me I think) made an entrance and you have to slip through. As for the other house I didn't go because its surrounded by long grass and there was no way I was going to that one with shorts. There looks like another shed in the distance but we didn't check it out because that wasn't the point of our trip to see abandoned buildings.
I recommend wearing long loose clothing that can take the heat and so you don't get cut up by all the glass. There is a private property no trespassing sign but no one was there so were like why not and went on the property. It looks like the site is scheduled to get demolished but not sure when and the Corona virus pandemic probably but the demolition on hold so check it out before it gets demolished.
MacabreKiss: Two homes purchased by a developer to be demolished and the lot converted into: "2 mixed-use mid rise buildings at 7 and 10 storeys, containing 228 apartment units, 1,903sq m of residential amenity space and 232 sq m of non-residential use" The application was submitted in 2016.

Currently an active construction site, one house is still there and accessible but it'll be gone very soon.
For anyone wondering this place is still abandoned but I would be careful there is signs of squatters living there
