About this location
With a growing neighbourhood in the East end of the city, St. Robert was first opened in 1959, also know as R.C.S.S #23. Additions were added on in 1965 & 1968. In 2017, It was decided that this school and 1 other nearby would be closed down, and consolidated into a 3rd neighbouring school, due to declining enrollment. The school officially closed in June of 2018. Demolition began and finished November of 2020, after the city bought the property for low income housing/park land. Power was still on as far as August of 2020.
