In 1885, Meadow Lily Mills was destroyed by fire, it was rebuilt at once by William Hayman. The new three-storey building was made of brick and had a high stone foundation. By 1889, the mill had a capacity of 150 barrels a day and employed twelve men. The leading brands of flour were “Cream,” “Straight,” “Tip-Top,” “Plewes Extra,” and “Meadow Lillie.” In 1891, the mill was again destroyed by fire and immediately rebuilt. William Plewes died in 1895, having owned the Meadow Lily Mills for a quarter of a century. The mill was taken over by his son Heber Plewes.
It was not rebuilt after the third fire it had and since then stands in ruins. we decided to venture down there to see what we could find. Very interesting place to visit....things are hidden in places that history books don't even mention. Very cool place to check out if you are interested :)

I think were all guilty of postiing bolders/drive by shootings etc. at one point or another. It's a good write up and history. Looks like a good hiking trip.
actually we did come across poison ivy lots of it along the path....but thankfully i did not touch it...next time i will not be wearing sandals lol.....it is a very interesting place there is trails all over and we walked some of them and found what looks to me as ruins of something else....verry nice place for a nature walk or just take ur bike as there is a bike trail
I kept cringing thinking of you in those sandals and poison ivy! - but try as I might, I could not see a single leaf of it anywhere in those pictures. Pretty amazing, given the location. You would think it would have been a big carpet of it!
