Located on a very busy road, next to a very popular location w/ active security
900 Highbury Ave is located next to and basically physically on the Regional Mental Health Care London property (although RMHCL is actually 850 Highbury.) Somehow I didn’t notice this location till my fourth trip to RMHCL. It’s very small and it’s right up against Highbury squished in between the North Complex and a couple smaller outbuildings, one of which I believe may have been stables for the original LAI (correct me if I’m wrong.)
According to the sign this govt building was many offices crammed into one including: Center for Leadership and Learning, OPS Learning and Development, Ministry of Culture, Heritage and Libraries, Southwest Archaeological Field Operations, Ministry of The Attorney General, Victims and Vulnerable Persons and Ontario Victim Services Regional Office. I’m wondering if this building was closely related to RMHCL or if it just happened to be a convenient place to build it. This building does have it’s own separate entrance off Highbury but is also connected to other lane ways on the larger property.
The only POE at the time was a window that was only partially smashed and there was a terrible smell coming from inside. Entry would have been possible but all excuses aside I was too busy checking out RMHCL to bother going in. If anyone has any insight on the history or has been inside I’d love to see some comments and albums added. I’ve made this level 3 as to match RMHCL.
