The cars are along a path that goes through the Wildlife sanctuary, which is a habitat for bears, and many other kinds of animals that may pose a threat to you. The plants and trees are all around the cars, so they may be hard to find. It is a public trail for everyone so there is no worry of being a trespasser.
There is no concise story of how these cars ended up deep in these woods, but I have heard that when Trent University bought up all of the lands near the Otonabee River for the university, they had to force a lot of farmers off their land. There was not much of an incentive for the farmers to clean up their properties so they left rotting cars out.
4 70’s cars rotting in the woods. I could be wrong, but I think that I figured out what the cars are. The 2 cars you will first see are both early seventies Honda Civics, which are flipped over, and destroyed. They are located along the John-De-Pencer trail. All of the cars are located on that trail. The next car that you will find is a 1977 Pontiac station wagon, then, just about maybe 10-20 feet away sits a late seventies dodge aspen. These cars do not have much left on them, with all chrome and hubcaps taken off the cars probably a couple decades ago.
