Salvage Yard

Bill was great. My first car, an ''85 Chrysler Laser actually ended up here around 2001-2002. Was bittersweet coming across it a few years later.

...was this Lakefield Auto Wreckers? I remember that place fondly. Bill was an amazingly kind man; any time my dad would ask how much a small part like a ball joint or a bracket of some kind would cost, it was always "I'll get you next time." Many a tire squealing exit from that place was made in the old big block chevy. Just like our youths, nothing lasts forever I suppose.

I live just down the road from this place. Bill (The owner) was a great guy. His passing was terrible news. If anyone wants to check this place out, id like to note that all the cars have been crushed due to the daughter of Bill inherited this place and didnt want all the "Junk".. sad to see a great historic place go.
