History
A google search didn’t bring up much info other than a homicide that happened there in 2021 (https://globalnews.ca/news/8440591/london-ontario-homicide-wharncliffe-lodging/), an active google business listing (which I marked as permanently closed), and some other sites with a few reviews. There are two buildings that look like large houses and couldn’t have had more than 8 or 10 small rooms each. It seems to have been a pretty run down spot, and was shut down within the last 6 months or so, not too long after the homicide.

About this location
NOTE: I only got inside the northernmost building.
I was hoping for a time capsule, but instead found that it was under construction. It seems to have been rooming house-style accommodations with private bedrooms and shared common areas. From the reviews I gathered that its occupants were typically transient types that stayed there for the short or medium term.
There was nothing too exciting on the inside if I’m being honest. A lot of open space due to the the drywall being removed, a room full of random doors, the remains of a kitchen, and a bathtub containing an old toilet and various other scraps. It was nighttime, rainy, and I was alone so I didn’t go in the basement… maybe I missed out on some treasure, who knows.
