In the past there have been “NO TRESPASSING”signs posted around the church.
Notch Hill Church was built on the private property of Rufus Hammond in 1922.
Notch Hill once was a big CPR town, and many CPR employees helped build the church. Materials were ordered from Port Moody, a member municipality of Vancouver.
The church served the community of Notch Hill for about 30 years, until it became crownland in the 1970s. In 2009, the church was reconstructed and stabilized.

In 2009, the church was debilitated and run-down. After it was reconstructed, it is in a much better state and quite a few people in the area take pictures of it.
