Treasured Recipes

It is always interesting when previous homeowners leave messages behind for future visitors, allowing us to share in a small piece of the home's life & history. I don't think we'll ever again get it to the extent of a certain pastor's house in southern Ontario, but this new abandonment along the QEW had just enough messages to feel unique. This house will soon be encompassed by an expansion of the water treatment plant in Grimsby. It is a gorgeous lakefront property sandwiched in between crazy highway development. The layout of the house is very unique and seems to have been two completely different living areas under one roof. Hundreds of recipe and home magazines can be found in the basement. To Steve and Evelyn: with your beautiful pool deck, massive property, and the heartfelt messages, it really feels like this was a place of great family love, delicious food, and lasting togetherness.
