The site is somewhat remote and outside of cell coverage. Traffic on the road is not frequent.
There is the risk of bear encounters.
With that said, the roads are easily passable so one can remain near their vehicle when exploring.
Joutel was once a town of hundreds that existed to serve local mines.
Founded in 1965, it was demolished in 1998 when the mines ran dry.
Little remains of Joutel beyond its streets and some parking lots and foundations where it once sat.
It is reasonably easy to access with a little preparation.A full tank of gas and water/food are recommended. So are rubber boots.

Haha, it's not so unknown in the area, and I've been using those roads to get to work for years. One of the road maintenance/snowplow companies we use has a base nearby too. We even just call that route the "joutel road"

no cell service on any network within 20km, no streetview either, limited info, this place is actually in the middle of nowhere. how did you even find it?
