A fairly simple site, most hazards are pretty common sense.
The road in is rough, and the hill to the modern tower is fairly steep and made of small boulders more than actual gravel. Once at the tower there are some steep drops at the edges of the hill. The ladder is cut off a substantial height above the ground so climbing the tower isn't possible without a lot of skill or a ladder of your own to bridge the gap.
And as with anything in the bush, there's always bugs and bears to worry about.
This is the remains of one of the countless fire towers that once dotted the Northern Ontario landscape, when a network of watchmen within radio distance of each other would keep a lookout for smoke on the horizon. I haven't found a lot of information specific to this tower, though the hill it is on is also used by a modern communications tower, and the shed below the fire tower suggests it may have been repurposed at one point after old fashioned firewatches fell out of favour.
This tower is relatively accessible and, by the number of beer cans in the shed below, known in the area. It's a neat little chunk of history and only a 15/20 minute detour off the 144 to get to if you're passing by.

Nice collection of photos, looks very spooky with the fog and the damp environment.
