Back in 1975,a grant was given to clean up the old Northwest Company's cemetery on the shores of what is known locally as the "Monkee Run".I visited there in October of 1975.It was a very serene and peaceful place.The tall monument belongs to the family of the factor of the Northwest Company's trading post which was situated across from the cemetery.Legend has it that the first burial was of a man
