It's a little off the highway but not difficult to reach.

Nothing stands out as particularly dangerous, even the gap beneath the shaft cap is too small to really pose a risk. Otherwise, watch your step and maybe a bug net.

Watch for animals and be aware that hunters could be in the area in the fall.

The property this defunct mine sits on still sees exploration and seems to have changed hands through a few companies in the past decades, but according to the sign on the site itself, the mine was sealed in 1978. There are some documents from the 40s describing operations, so the mine presumably lasted a few decades.

Easy access and with a bit of remaining equipment that makes this old remediated mine a bit more interesting than the usual cement pads.
