Chorley Park- This legendary Toronto architectural masterpiece met this fate: "The half-century saga of Chorley Park saw the main building go from a magnificent manor for government dignitaries to a crumbling ruin deemed too expensive to maintain." For more info and photos check this link:

It was torn down in 1960. Hopefully some Torontonians on here can go over and get some modern photos of the park there and post them here.

The 1960s saw the demolition of beautiful structures replaced by the ugliest, box-like architecture.

Adventures of Timothy Pilgrim

TVO produced this classic kids tv show in 1975. It is about a young orphan, Tim Pilgrim, who lives on the streets of Toronto and in an abandoned factory. The show's premise is based around Tim who finds a magical trunk that takes him back 100 years into the past, where he befriends a man named Zachariah Gibson. The 2 have adventures by going back and forth in time via the magic trunk...

Below is a picture (courtesy Rickstv) of the old abandoned factory "Smith and Son" that Tim lived in. It is located near Bathurst and King in Toronto, Canada. The facade is still there today, but the factory is now a condo.
