About this location

This beautiful abandoned stone farmstead was once the home of John Werry and his wife Agnes. In 1871, at the age of 23, John was the owner of a 198 acre estate northeast of Bowmanville at the area once known as "Bethesda".

The beautiful stone house is boarded up as tight as a clam, but the shed and barns are accessible.

This was a great place back when it was intact. I'll root through my camera and get some old pictures.

This seems to more farm buildings and a house on the Werry property. I did some checking to make sure.
