Comments The Ellicott Cemetery, also known as the Bethel Church Burial Ground, sits at the corner of Concession 5 and Sideline 16 in north Ajax. There are currently only 4 headstones in the cemetery, some of them having disappeared over time.

(Harry) Joseph Ellicott and his wife Susan Tolsher came to Canada in 1840 along with her parents, John and Elizabeth Tolsher, and settled on lots 16 and 17 of the 4th Concession. A church was eventually built on the one acre site where the cemetery stands, but was torn down in 1902. The members of this family are buried here.

Also buried here are Margaret Britton, Selena Brignall, Thomas Brignall and his wife Mary Mook, and Thomas and Sarah Stephenson.

The cemetery is no longer active, and is maintained by the Trustees of the Bible Christian Church.
