About this location

The Freeport Hospital was used from the 1930's until the 1960's for treatment of tuberculosis. In later years it was used as a chronic care and long-term rehabilitation facility.

In the 1980's it was changed to the Freeport Health Care Village which was a "state of the art chronic care centre".

2022 - This building cannot be preserved and it is in the media like crazy due to its age and the fact that it is to be demolished quite soon.

Confirmed demolished. It appears as though the foundation of the building was mainly kept as a retaining wall to keep the embankment in place. Flood plain down below.

Pretty sure it is now a hole in the ground. I did a quick drive by tho so I might've missed it

And that trail Mobileworks refers to, IS a trail, but people didnt make the part we had to take to get to the clearing with the makeshift shed/house. I think I have to throw out my socks. Stoopid amounts of burrs and WOW. HOLY MOSQUITOES. Bug spray is a must this time of year. We got SWARMED. Also, MUCH WORSE in a few months. Real advanced rot on this one. EDIT: If ya find a 82mm lens cap in the burrs, it goes with my 10-20mm Sigma.

Beware, the stairs going up to the second floor is covered in very slippery ice. I made it up no problem, going down, well it hurt...

No Derelict...when I made the comment, the peeling door one was the last pic uploaded...so that's the one I meant lol...you must have added some more. I like the four panels that are all warped like corrugated cardboard.
