Yellow Brick Abode

Demolished House in East Gwillimbury, Ontario, Canada

Awesome yellow brick farmhouse in a perfect state of demise. Waited until there was some tree cover and no car in the adjacent driveway, well worth waiting for. The decay here is just about right, without any graffiti tagging. There is also the remains of a workshop, with bars on the windows, and guarded by small furry creatures.

Easily seen from the road if you look for the twin towers, just west of Queensville.

"Kennedy Cranley House", built about 1870 shortly after they obtained the land. House is still standing and still boarded up as of 2 month ago. Outbuildings (&silos) are all torn down. Kennedy Cranley was an Irish immigrant and horse breeder. His grandson Walter was a school teacher at Queensville who later fought in World War I. The Cranley's only lived in this house ~15 years. Both times I went I just walked past that house near the gate and not been bothered. Maybe not home, idk.

Yes it is still there, but now the laneway is gated and the house is boarded.
