The Markham plane graveyard is located at the private airport approximately 5 km north of Markham. The airport has one 2000 foot runway and is used for small and private aircraft.

The airport is the site of an abandoned plane graveyard. Included in the area are an CT-128 Expeditor transport and a CF-5 fighter as well as other Canadian Armed Forces planes.

A collection of former Canadian Forces planes/fighters, sitting in various states of decay in a field. The experience is rather surreal seeing these once proud fighters that would have flown high over foreign countries, and wondering what missions they served on and how on Earth they ended up where they are. Apparently the collection is owned by the owner of the airport, it includes sabres!

I don(a)t suspect this will be around for much longer.

The airport is located off of highway 48, south of Whitchurch-Stouffville.

Called the airport today, the planes were taken away and scrapped when new management took over. So this site is no longer here.

Just came back from it. Got a few snaps with permission. The really good stuff was in a restricted area and the dude didn't allow me over ... Very cool place :-)

Someone should notify the Canadian War Museum about these treasures.
