This is another house expropriated by Transport Canada for either road widening or for the future airport. Tightly boarded up but would be very cool to get in to!

The one and only time I was arrested was for chaining myself to the porch of a beautiful farmhouse slated for destruction that had been in this family for 4 generations, expropriated for the airport. Just makes me so angry that so much history is ignored, minimized by the almighty dollar. Thanks to all of you who are keeping history alive before it is too late

It is part of the original airport lands but likely to become part of the new Rouge National Urban Park lands. Just saying.

Actually it is right smack in the middle of the Airport Lands ... http://www.tc.gc.ca/eng/ontario/air-azr-pickering-maps-menu-1513.htm

It has the Transport Canada "No Tresspassing" sign on the front of the house, but the location makes no sense. This is out of the way of the 407 and the airport lands, so not sure why they are expanding. Anyone???

how do you know they expropriated it? If it's for roads, it's not transport Canada.
