Found this site quite sometime ago, but was never really sure how abandoned it was until one day I drove by and noticed brand new "No Trespassing" signs. I talked to superss and he found out there is a "proposal for a Union Gas Compressor Station Facility" on this site.

I forgot my camera today so I do apologize for the quality of my Blackberry. There Is a completely boarded up farm house, a few dog houses, sheds, tractor garages, chicken/rabbit coupes, and a barn. I wasn't able to make it into the house or the barn, so I'm hoping someone will find a way in. As for the reason why I named this location "Quick Sand", I was walking around in the high grass near the barn and sunk about a foot into the mud. Luckily my exploring buddy was there to yank me out.

There is a property right across the street so be weary where you park.

UPDATE: Made a second trip here and got destroyed by those two pronged burr seeds, spent an hour plucking them out of my flannel jacket. This time around I was able to make into both the barn and the house. Stay away from the barn if you are not wearing a respirator. The basement has been used to store manure for years, four feet of the stuff.

Well worth the visit, but people aren't kidding about the "quicksand"! I recommend tightly tied boots for this exploration.

I'd say this house is easily 100 years old Evman.

I wouldn't recommend trying to get to the barn from the house. There's not really anything inside it, and it's definitely not worth wading through the thick bushes and millions of burrs. Not to mention the eponymous quicksand! The main attraction is the house anyway. You can tell it's easily over 20 years old.

My friend that is a musician, played the creepiest song on that piano. Most inexpressible feeling I've felt exploring.

I was just thinking of this place a couple of days ago. Oh & I love the smell of manure in the morning...........it smells like victory.

After gaining access to the house, I'd say this place is a must.

Good find Hudson, the property does look interesting. Too bad the boards are now up on the house, it's on Milton's Historic list so it may have some interesting features.

Done and done.

Ya the address under the map lists it as Milton. Best to keep it under that rather than create a new category for Agerton. Agerton is much too small to have its own category.

Should I keep this categorized in Agerton, or should I move it to Oakville or Milton?
