Great looking exterior on this vintage brick beauty. Inside it's another story. After fifteen years of being stepped on by deadbeat renters, the house has the patina of kerosene on all walls and is actually rather disgusting to visit. A lot of crap remains from the former tenants which provides for a decent amount of picking through to document. Farmer Jack, the owner, lives just south and next door. He took us on a tour of the place and provided it's history to us. Unfortunately the house faces days numbered as he will allow the local fire department to use it for training, effectively sealing it's fate.

Nope, no silo visit. My lady made conversation with the farmer while I snapped away. We thanked him and left to go our destination. We had a laugh when I opened up the fridge with the caveat that one should not open the fridge. A wall of stink ensued. Good times.
Farmer Jack doesn't seem to care at all about the house. It was renter hell for 15 years where they only paid the first 5. Very charitable fellow. Yes, that old light is nowhere to be found.
Visited today with permission from farmer Jack the owner. As is often the case he bought the land and didn't want the house. Rented it to a washed out stripper type with a useless 400 pound boyfriend who at one time had a grow op there. Pair of useless offspring. Totally took advantage of his charity. This house is destined to be used for fire training so it will be burnt to the ground soon.

Nice details people. What a neat old house, too bad that a couple of idiots soured the farmer from wanting to keep this. He could have made a couple of bucks, some people would have had a home to live in & a little bit of history could have been saved.
