I love exploring in Spring & Fall the most for the hiking & photographing with my camera with everything changing - growing or dieing off. However, I love winter because you can see tracks, footprints if others have been there. Best way to see if a house is abandoned is to watch it over winter & see whats been in and out - if anything. Summer is way too hot & sticky for hiking for me but I still push myself to. Photographs of houses from the outside always look better in the winter - a personal opinion!

As someone who has used and serviced two-way radios (which is the ting you are talking about), I have to argue for their superiority in such environments. First, they are generally speaking more robust than any cellphone, they do not have screens that can break, and they can be used outside of networks, or even in locations that are shielded by metal or dense structures (but I am mostly talking about VHF radios, under 200MHz, as cellphone networks are all 2.4GHz and 5.6? GHz). No need for a network is one benefit, robustness is another. The only drawback I can see is not being able to call anyone else who doesn't have a compatible radio. Get a pair of Motorola GP300 or GP340 or something like that, old and reliable, as well as cheap.

Unless there's no service I don't see any benefit of using a radio over a phone. Perhaps it might be easier to strap a radio to your backpack, but if you're going through the effort for that than you can find a phone holster too.

I pay for it, just because I love OAP so much. Might buy the merch too one day!
Mask, Flashlight & Camera is all I need.

yup, the location creation order has been swapped around, the album is created first, then the location
nope. it was a bug that was fixed
You probably are creating a location that already exists (but is higher level), so it re-directs you to it, but then it gives you an error because you don't have the level to access it.

or, even better than that, go outside and use your eyes! plenty of stuff on the website that you can't see yet due to being level 1, but I can guarantee you can see it with your eyes if you go outside
I have great news for you, you're on the perfect website to find something like that. now go look through the database! have fun!

big fan of the shoulder seasons, less bugs, don't have to worry about getting stuck in the snow, down side would be less day light

for me in the summer going there is easier because its warmer with less wind but there is so many plants and bugs at the locations so i would prefer winter because i can actually go there and see the whole house and not get eatin by mosquitoes
