The bridge over the Irondale River, shown in your photos, is now very well marked as Private Property. I was planning on visiting this structure today, but the access has been denied.
Very cool Don. I have seen this every time I head down the QEW. Never knew the story behind it, I always thought it was some sort of advertising for a restaurant or motel or something.

Had to walk through a very dark, wet, creepy hallway right by the morgue to get upstairs. The wallpaper is so different in every room. Very interesting!
I know .. I spotted the first house driving by on my lunch one day. When I turned in to check it out, I felt like I won the abandoned house jackpot!!!

Here is a link to the video we made of us exploring the area! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r9bqAnWwdwk Enjoy!
Went there to film a new episode of Lost and Abandoned....and even with co-ordinates...its hard to find lol. Winding paths and cliffs etc. Once found getting back is VERY easy. That said...be prepared to get VERY muddy. This place often floods, and even when there hasn't been rain in a long time...is mostly flooded. you will be sludging through 2-3 feet of water and mud. Its unavoidable if
I think this is well south of the marker

Ya ,the sale price tripled to $700,000 in just half a year, but now that will change. Bad wiring ? ,maybe, if they still had power. Its also been record setting hot too.
Cool! For eight years, I helped run a one week camp for the Board at the OELC, but didn't get to know any history of the area. Thanks for posting!
I like the brick window.
