Frosty Hot Tub Farmhouse

Demolished House in Mapleton, Ontario, Canada

Nice old stone farmhouse with some renovations, and a not so private outdoor hot tub. Nothing left but an old RCA tv, and some character. Farm appears inactive. Lots of frost inside the house. The mold has begun and the paint starting to peel. Hardwood flooring is expanding and buckling real good, and its loud. Basement door is stuck on the raised floor so that remains a mystery.

Crazy that the yuppies down here are spending fortunes to simulate that stone work and yet we are seeing many of these rural stone designs like this abandoned...?

I like the tree icon LOL, quite the handful. I have a few trees with faces but that's a new one. Good documentation and great pics. They loved that one style Ontario Gothic a lot back then,eh?, probably the cheapest.

I was thinking the same thing. Come the summertime when it heats up those walls will be covered in black mold, but it still won't be too late to save it without having to spend a fortune. Did you notice the new roof and eaves DM :-) ..and there's a linoleum floor under the hardwood..

Great find, I hope this one doesn't fall into the state of decay as some of these other beautiful old stone farm houses. Although it does make for a nice photo shoot for us ;)

Thanks gang.. Would have been cool to have been there when the floor finally gave way and buckled with such force pushing the moulding up from the wall to even cause the paint to come off the wood. I bet it was loud..

Great gallery - the pics of all the frost inside was a neat viewing experience.
