Demolished House in Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Recent status Demolished
Location # 10137

In 2008 the city took over this location with a "Statutory Offer of Compensation" to the owner for the amount of $650,000 so they could use the land for an apparent future driveway for the Kipling Subway.

Last tenants showing online would be "Anne's Psychic Shop" who surely saw this move coming and "Gertler & Associates" ~ Refugee and Immigrant Lawyers, who probably had a goldmine location here considering the giant complex next door is none other than the Canada Immigration Offices.

The building looks of age where there could be a lot of history preceding these last usages, but sadly none found, haven't been inside...yet.

I found it interesting that behind the building is a locked bike alongside a wonderful make shift tent. Was thinking I might find a frozen corpse inside, but rather what looks like fairly fresh sleeping quarters and a recent squatter bag of belongings inside. Those i don't open. Seemed more like a summer home, but perhaps the inhabitant is an Eskimo.

Will be by this one regularly for a while....

that is a neat style of house and that definitely looked like a fresh squatters bag and sleeping quarters. Surprised you didn't see anyone with his ride being there and locked up.
