About this location

Located in the heart of Guelph, this church was constructed in 1966, with later additions in the 70's and 80's. It boasted a congregation of over 600 people, and was home to many community programs. The church outgrew this location and moved to a new facility on the south end of Guelph. Since being sold to the city, planners had been trying to figure out how to repurpose this building into a new Mental Health facility. Unfortunately the building was just too old to remodel with the budget mandated, and the decision was made to demolish instead. I was finally able to get some photos of the beautiful stained glass window feature a day before it was completely demolished.
