A.K.A. Morrison's Cemetery was established in 1848 and closed in 1933 and now, headstones are gathered in a cairn. Potter's Cemetery began as a family cemetery as most cemeteries did during this time but this was not Potter's property.. Thomas Potter and his wife died of dysentery[severe diarrhea, maybe a cleansing issue] in 1848 and were put in the same grave, together. Later friends and other pioneers like John and Emily Morrison were welcomed. This cemetery was on John Sigsworth farm at the time and later by Joseph Hatten[died here in 1899 at 79 yrs. and his wife 1n 1912 at 83 yrs.]. In September 1890, John Hatten transferred the 1/4 acre [4 rods wide x 10 rods deep][11,000 sq. feet] property to the trustees of Goshen Methodist Church. There are 2 Potter's died here at 2 yrs. old. It is in a small area surrounded by thick bush trees. As I remember trees once also lined the road here, as well, but have since been removed. No allowance was made for vehicles. The large treed area could have been a nice meditation park, as only a small portion of the 1/4 acre is being cared for.
