A Community Split

Thanks to [i]chiller [/i]for the heads-up on the houses on this street. Along with the other abandoned houses on this small street, this one is slated to be demolished to make way for new housing. This house was used as a community dwelling, with each person having their own room & use of the communal areas. The front section is composed of a single apartment, with the rear housing multiple tenants. To get to the rear section, you have to go around the side of the building.

The whiteboard in the rear kitchen is cool, as are some other items left behind. Check out the Bay City Roller [i][b]autographed [/b][/i]album! [u]Please [/u]no poaching souvenirs though. The keys to most of the rooms are still hanging in their locks, and the house is generally in good shape.

Motleykiwi & I wanted to check out the other houses on the street, but some neighbours just up the road were eyeing us pretty closely as we pulled out from this one. The house beside this one would be exceptionally cool (& is on the list to be demolished), but is powered & has a camera right outside the front entrance. We suspected it's still active, judging by the general condition of the property.
